PATHALAIYA: Ram Bahadur Bamjan, popularly known as the Little Buddha who has recently courted controversy over his attempt to procure a citizenship certificate on the basis of forged documents, has left his meditation site in the Halkhoria forest area, in Bara.
Bamjan, who had been ‘meditating’ in the Halkhoria forest, is said to have left the site in a jeep at about 10 pm on Thursday with nine of his aides. Bamjan’s leaving the forest came to light when personnel from the Nijgadh Area Police Office came across a Tata Sumo numbered Na 2 Ch 1760 boarded by Bamjan along with his aides during a security check on the highway. Bamjan is learnt to have told police that he had left his sanctum for Sindhuli.
The locals guess the Buddha Boy might have left the forest for good. “We saw Bamjan’s disciples loading all of his belongings, including the statuettes kept in the gumbas inside the jungle area, in a truck,” said a local. Police, however, said they did not find any other vehicle save the Tata Sumo that Bamjan and his aides had boarded during its Thursday night’s security check. This is the first time that Bamjan was caught leaving the Halkhoria forest.
